These bases regulate GeeksHubs CTO Awards 2024.

Objective

The objective of this award is visibility CTOs (Chief Technology Officer), explain their role at companies and show technological science referents.

Award and recognition

The GeeksHubs Award for Best CTO 2024 has public and industry recognition, but no monetary value.

Phases and mechanics, requirements and deadlines

The award has 5 phases:

 

Phase 1. Presentation of candidatures

Option A) When the candidate presents himself/herself.

  • CTOs who want to participate must apply their candidacy from the website https://ctosummit.geekshubs.com/
  • Requirements: 
    • Of legal age.
    • Fill out the form from the website https://ctosummit.geekshubs.com/
    • Do it on time.
    • Upload a current, real, clear photo where the candidate’s face can be seen.
    • Accept the express authorization to use the candidate’s image (document attached to the form).
    • Demonstrate work experience of 10 or more years in different professional positions in IT.
    • Demonstrate work experience of 4 or more years as CTO, VP of Engineering and/or Director of Technology.
    • Accept to attend phase 5 (prize delivery) if you are finalist.

      – Deadline: April 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

 

Option B) When you nominate the candidate.

  • People who want to nominate a candidate must submit the candidacy from the website https://ctosummit.geekshubs.com/ in the relevant section.
  • Requirements:
    • Of legal age.
    • Fill out the form from the website https://ctosummit.geekshubs.com/
    • Do it on time.
    • Demonstrate work experience of 10 or more years in different professional positions in IT of the nominated person.
    • Demonstrate work experience of 4 or more years as CTO, VP of Engineering and/or Director of Technology of the nominated person.
    • The organization (phase 2) will contact the nominee to inform them of their candidacy and to expressly accept the rules.
  • Deadline: April 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.



Phase 2. Applications’ review

  • Mechanics: GeeksHubs organization will review the applications one by one to verify the information received. In case of confusing or erroneous information, the candidate will be contacted and will have 5 calendar days to correct it from the communication.
  • Candidates that come from a nomination will be contacted to inform them of their candidacy and to expressly accept the rules. As well as send the pertinent information.



Phase 3. Get support.

  • Mechanics: all approved applications will be available on the website https://ctosummit.geekshubs.com/ (arranged alphabetically by last name). Each application will have basic information about the application (collected in the submission form) and a photo. People who visit the website may vote for only one (1) candidate.
  • Requirements: to vote it will be necessary to register an email, name, and surname. Only 1 vote per email will be valid, and erroneous or manipulated emails will be deleted.
  • Deadline: pending.



Phase 4. Finalists

  • Mechanics: The 3 candidates with the most support will advance to the final. In the event of a tie between 2 or more candidates, all of them will be selected, and there may be more than 3 candidates in this case.
  • Finalists: the 3 finalists will have two (2) invitations to the CTO Summit 2024, where the final will take place. An invitation is mandatory for the finalist.



Phase 5. Delivery of prize

  • Mechanics: the award ceremony will take place during the CTO Summit. The delivery will consist of opening the envelope with the name of the winning candidacy and delivery of public recognition.
  • Requirements: attend the event, be located in the area that the organization allocates to the finalist candidates, and assign image rights for the photos and graphic material that is taken.
  • Date: during the CTO Summit 2024 conference.

Image rights

The candidacy consents and authorizes the publication and/or use of the photograph of their candidacy and those taken during the gala. Furthermore, during phase 1 or 2 you will expressly send the completed authorization.

The use of these images will not be for profit by GeeksHubs and will be used as dissemination material for its activities and programmes.

Disqualifications and voluntary withdrawals

At any time the candidacy may be disqualified by the organization or the candidacy itself.

In case of disqualification, the organization must be covered by one of the following reasons: not complying with the bases, information provided incomplete and not corrected in a timely manner, false or adulterated information, candidacy of a person who is in process or has been ratified by illicit, illegal, immoral, unethical actions or that violate the respect and rights of other people or that the candidacy has expressed in the past or during the process of the different phases comments and prejudices against the organization and/or companies that facilitate the organization of the awards and the CTO Summit congress.

Voluntary withdrawal by the candidate must be notified in writing to the organization’s address ctosummit@geekshubs.com, stating the reasons that lead to the withdrawal. And you must communicate it at least 4 business days in advance of phase 5.

Data protection

GeeksHubs (see organization identification) is responsible for the personal data collected.

Personal data will be used without profit and exclusively for the purposes of the prize and kept for the maximum legal period.
